In December, Evasi0n tool was released which allowed iOS device owners to untethered jailbreak their devices running on iOS 7. This tool by Team Evad3rs was compatible with most of Apple devices including the new iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPad Air and iPad Mini 2. But as you know Apple don’t like jailbreak, so they started working on Evasi0n jailbreak patch from day one. So what’s the current status of iOS 7.1 untethered jailbreak?

iOS 7.1 Untethered Jailbreak

It was reported by jailbreak community that Evasi0n iOS 7 untethered jailbreak patch wasn’t fixed till iOS 7.1 Beta 3 but when Apple released iOS 7.1 Beta 4 and developers installed it on their iPhones, iPads and iPods they were surprised to know that Evasi0n jailbreak wasn’t compatible anymore with their devices on iOS 7.1 Beta 4. So we can say that Apple was able to fix iOS 7 untethered jailbreak in iOS 7.1 Beta 4.

So now if you have jailbroken your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch on iOS 7.0.4 using Evasi0n jailbreak tool, then we highly recommend you not to install iOS 7.1 final on your iDevice. As there is not iOS 7.1 Untethered Jailbreak solution available and Evasi0n is also not able to jailbreak iOS 7.1.

So if you love jailbreak tweaks, then best thing for you is to stick with iOS 7.0.4 for now and enjoy the cydia tweaks on your iDevice. As soon as iOS 7.1 untethered is released, you may update your device to it.
